R.I.P. RIP

The Detroit Pistons have problems. (There's an understatement)
But, the biggest of these problems is not coach John Kuester.
It's Richard "RIP" Hamilton.

Reports of his berating Coach Kuester in practice have been circulating for a while now.
Apparently he decided to skip a recent shoot-around, too.

I will admit John Kuester was not a wise choice at coach.
The Pistons were trying to hire Avery Johnson.
When that deal fell through, John Kuester was given the job.
Avery Johnson-to-John Kuester is a hell of a drop-off.
Wasn't there someone else in the middle Detroit?

Either way, this isn't about Kuester.
Hamilton deserves far more criticism...and some advice.

Here's my advice to RIP:  
GO TO WORK AND DO THE JOB YOU ARE PAID TO DO!!

The word of the day is "job", J-O-B, job!

Most of us have jobs we don't like.
Many of us have bosses we can't stand.
A lot of us know our boss to be less-than-ideal for their position.
But guess what? WE GO TO WORK.

Hamilton is earning over $12million this season.
The average American household earns about $50k per year.
And guess what? WE GO TO WORK.

It's OK to be a disgruntled worker nowadays.
It's almost anti-American to NOT consider your boss an idiot.
But guess what? WE GO TO WORK.

Hamilton is not happy.
Yet, he's not making himself appealing to other NBA teams as trade-bait.
What do you want from the organization RIP?

The Detroit Pistons are likely going to fire Coach Kuester.
But, that isn't going to solve Hamilton's problems.
RIP doesn't need a better coach, he needs a better attitude.

So, Richard Hamilton, please, DO YOUR JOB FOO!
